241 Motorsports – An Irish Champion in Italy
Reigning Irish superbike champion Tommy O’Grady has his sights firmly set on a brand new championship this year. Competing with his 241 Motorsports team on the Clear Energy Yamaha R1, all roads lead to Cremona this weekend for the final round of the Italian Trofei racing series on the 23rd and 24th September.

O’Grady has been competing in the MotoEstate Superstock 1000 class all year. Showing no signs of slowing down after his Dunlop Mondello Masters championship success in 2022, he has won all but one of his eight races so far this season, coming in second place in the fourth round by less than two tenths of a second.

After four rounds of the Italian championship, Tommy is topping the table with 213 points, ahead of Suzuki competitor Diego Scaltritti on 152 points in second, and BMW rider Gabriele Proietti in third place overall with 150 points.

You can follow Tommys progress on his Youtube, Instagram or Facebook accounts, and if you fancy getting some cool 241 Motorsports merch, you can check out their shop here.

We wish him the best of luck in the last races, as Tommy hopes to become the first Irish competitor to ever win an Italian championship.
