After a period of transition for Irish motocross, the Irish Motocross Championship will return in 2026 as the sport’s premier national series. In a major statement of intent, the Motocross Commission has confirmed a six-round championship and secured Plews Tyres as title sponsor, marking a significant new chapter for motocross in Ireland.

The 2026 Plews Tyres IMX Irish Motocross Championship will see riders compete across six of the country’s most demanding and established venues, restoring a consistent and high-profile platform for elite national competition.

The partnership with Plews Tyres represents a substantial investment in Irish motocross and underlines a shared commitment to raising standards, supporting riders, and strengthening the long-term future of the sport.

“This is a massive step forward for the Irish Championship. Having a respected industry brand like Plews Tyres support the series provides the stability we need to grow. We are particularly excited about the new youth initiatives we are developing together, ensuring the next generation of Irish riders has a clear path to progress.”
